Nationales Forschungsprogramm "Nutzen und Risiken der Freisetzung gentechnisch veränderter Pflanzen" (NFP 59)
Le présent ouvrage est une synthèse des trente projets de recherche entrepris dans le cadre du Programme national de recherche "Utilité et risques de la dissémination des plantes génétiquement modifiées" (PNR 59) ainsi que de trois analyses fouillées d’un grand nombre d’études réalisées à l’étranger présentant un intérêt pour le programme. Outre les chapitres résumant les résultats des recherches menées à l’enseigne du PNR 59, cette synthèse donne la parole à cinq experts de renom invités à se prononcer sur divers aspects du génie génétique vert.

Die hier vorliegende Programmsynthese stützt sich auf 30 im Rahmen des Nationalen Forschungsprogramms "Nutzen und Risiken der Freisetzung gentechnisch veränderter Pflanzen" (NFP 59) durchgeführte Forschungsprojekte und drei ausführliche Analysen einer Vielzahl relevanter Studien aus dem Ausland.

The debate on the possible impact of genetically modified (GM) crops
on biodiversity shows that so far there is no consensus on generally
accepted assessment criteria for environmental harm. This debate stems
primarily not from a shortage of data, but rather from the absence of
criteria for assessing the effects of GM plants on biodiversity. Since
there are no exact assessment criteria, regulatory decision-making
processes are often not transparent and can be difficult to understand.
This increases the danger that decisions on environmental risks from GM
plants may appear arbitrary.
