OA publications of vdf Hochschulverlag are freely accessible to everyone. Since 2008, our goal was to ensure the greatest possible awareness and distribution of information using Open Access. As a rule, our publishing house prefers the "gold road," i.e., the simultaneous publication of digital and printed editions, wherever possible. All publications are given a DOI number and published under the CC license (CC-BY-NC-ND) or another CC license by arrangement. Moreover, they are all available at the Swiss National Library and some also on DOAB and the ETH Research Collection.

Peer review is carried out in consultation with the authors and the funding institutions.
